What an awesome event. The 7th New Zealand Cycling Conference was held on 12 & 13 November 2009 in New Plymouth. The organising committee received great feedback from attendees. Thank you to all sponsors, presenters and attendees for making this conference another success.

The conference theme was "Communities, connections and the economy".
The target audience ranged from central government politicians and policy-makers to cycling advocates.

Conference Programme

The programme featured a wide variety of local and international speakers, including Phillip Darnton of Cycling England and Chris Rissel from Univ. of Sydney.
On the weekend following the conference (14 & 15 November 2009), CAN held its annual CAN Do workshop for cycling advocates.
